Shotwell by Yorba Foundation is an open source tool that was designed to help users organize their photo collections. It was originally created for GNOME desktop environment. Sadly, Shotwell for Mac is not a viable option, but there are many other applications that can perform this task. These programs can prove to be a good replacement for Shotwell for Mac and they can help you organize your entire image collection.
